The Silent Discipline of a Top Athlete – The Hustle Part I

Hustles are a silent perseverance of a strong focus. Hustling requires discipline.

I have had the privilege of working with a top athlete in the past 2 weeks. At the age of 60, he has completed many Ironman challenges which includes a Triple Ironman and an Ultraman, all pretty crazy sounding Triathlon challenges.

After his long journey to Singapore from the USA, he continues his daily training regime in this foreign country while he fulfills his coaching duties here.

Many would decide to take a breather or a holiday if they do not have access to a gym or if their overseas daily schedule is packed like his. (ps: he works from 10am to 6pm everyday while he was here)

But not him.

Creativity is part of the hustle.

Be it at stair wells, an industrial building or at the famous Garden by the Bay, he will find a route that can fulfill requirements for the exercise routine that day.

And he works out for about 2 hours per day, rising early at 5am to get started early.

Hustles are a silent perseverance of a strong focus.

How clear are you on your focus?

How strong is your perseverance?

Keep these questions in mind.
